Saint Paul is a city of neighborhoods divided into 17 Planning Districts. Many have wonderfully grand Victorian and historic homes. East Side has more than two dozen historic neighborhoods. District 4 has three historic neighborhoods: Dayton's Bluff, Swede Hollow and Mounds Park. Districts 5 and 2, the most populated Districts, have more than a dozen neighborhoods. Como Park is an upscale neighborhood around Lake Como, Saint Paul's main recreational lake. Como Park Senior High School is one of the highest rated schools in the state, according to Newsweek. Saint Anthony Park, known to the locals as SAP, is a lovely neighborhood near to the University of Minnesota. Macalester-Groveland has public park land with walking and biking paths atop the 100-foot-tall bluffs providing great view of the river. Summit Hill is another desirable upscale neighborhood.
