Minneapolis is the largest city in Minnesota and county seat of Hennepin County. The city sits on the Mississippi River and abuts Saint Paul, the state capital. Known as the Twin Cities, they form the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area, 16th largest in the U.S. with 3.5 million people. This area is the primary business center between Chicago and Seattle.
Minneapolis is not only a water wonderland, with over 20 lakes, waterfalls, wetlands, brooks and the Mississippi riverfront for fishing, boating, and ice skating, it has an unrivaled park system covering almost 17% of the city.
